  1. Looking around yesterday I picked up a post that highlighted the need to remove device drivers also. I hadn't been aware of this before so I might try that and see where it takes me. Meanwhile can you think of any way of getting the DRM files to convert / play or register the PC through Connect ? Thanks JK
  2. Thanks for coming back To clarify I had the latest but one SS on the PC ( 3.3 ? ) and all worked well though installing it was a nightmare. On receiving the NW-A3000 I attempted to upgrade to SSCP, through various different means described below, which failed multiple times. I can now no longer install the version of SS that I had installed, which means I cannot restore my back up. I can get Connect 1.0.0.4 (?) to install and run but on startup it takes about 10 - 15 mins and in use it is very slow and is a huge drain on system resource on a AMD 3200 XP w. 1Gb or RAM etc etc etc ... In the import I have lost arround 400 albums which if possible I would like not to have to re-import. The issue seems to be with imported albums with Rights Management, I cannot play or export them at all. If I try to connect to the Connect Site with my log in, to reregister the PC ( which I seem to recall having to do before ) I get an error message that I am not allowed to with my current license. I re-registered and all that seems to do is allow me around the Connect Music Site but does not allow me to register hardware etc. I think the only way to get SS to work will be to rebuild the PC !! JK
  3. All I'm new here, though I've been reading for a while this is my first post. I have replaced a NW-HD1 with a NW-A3000 ( Prior to that I was using a MD MZN-707 ). I have lived through many iterations of SonicStage and had issues with installing them all in one way or another. On receiving the NW-A3000 I upgraded the Firmware and went to install SonicStage as it reported various functions would not be available through the current version. The installation failed. Using all of the old tricks in the book ( removal of registry keys; directories; shared directories etc ) I have tried many times to install SS-CP. Even going thorugh it all stage by stage in the unpacked directory fails specifically in installing SS i.e. 3-4 installs into the process. I have the previous version off line installer retained on my PC and this will not install either. I can use Connect ( as bad as it is ) but here is the problem All if the title with DRM will not convert into Connect, and I can find no way of registering them with Connect through the Connect site. I would given the chance restore the libary backup but this is a SonicStage back up that I cannot restore as I cannot restore SonicStage. Any pointers ? Thanks in advance JK
