  1. I suddenly found the solution myself. There's a nice small program on Sony site called MP3 File Manager. If anybody still have crazy issues with SonicStage, here's a link: MP3 File Manager This is perfect for me since I neva thought of using SS for anything except music transfer.
  2. I just bought Sony NW-E407 MP3-Player and after 3 hours of constant searching thru these forums and Internet I still can't use it due to stupid SonicStage "Cannot locate the files required to open the database file" problem. I really tried to find the answer myself, used Search function here and so on. 1. I reinstalled SonicStage several times (version 3.4). No success. 2. I re-registered MDAC and Jet files with repair tool. No success. 3. I uninstalled all codec packs and even QuickTime. No success. 4. I also tried to reinstall mdac.inf file from Windows/INF folder, but failed. Every time I do rightclick/install pointing on particular file in Windows setup or in ServicePackFiles folder I'm getting "Setup cannot copy blah-blah-blah". So no success either. I REALLY dunno how to fix this problem. Can anybody help me with this? P.S.: I have WindowsXP Professional SP2.
