Thanks for the welcome. It turns out that it is a problem with the import CD process. I checked the track in SonicStage library and it has the stutter too. So, I'll take your advice and reimport them and see how it turns out. No doubt like many of you, I have a lot of iTunes - I got started when Pepsi was giving away tunes from bottle caps. That wasn't a problem untl Jhymn broke with iTunes v.6. But now, I have to rip and import to SonicStage. Bummer! Thanks, MS

Hi Folks, I'm just getting back to using my NH600D after trying a phone/mp3 combo. Now that I have loaded a few HI-MD disks half way or so, some tracks are are distorting in a way that I would call stuttering, since it rapidly repeats a half second or so, accompanied by a sputtering noise and then moves on. What's the deal? Is my player going out? Does the head(s?) need cleaning or are my disks bad? This has happened on more than one disk, and is usually at least half way through the disk. I have used the same laptop with SonicStage 3.4 to upload the suspect tracks. Any clues? TIYCH
