NWZA818 has just died for no reason. Has been dropped,got wet etc. not even a scratch on it. Now wont turn on. No signs of any life. even when plug in to pc....had fully charged battery few hours latter...DEAD. HELP Any ideas before i ring sony monday and send to back to amazon....

Hi, Just quick question. Very close to buying NWZ-A818 (dont like SS/ATRAC and am a WMP 11 user) and just wont to know one thing... Seen the 2 screws in pictures on the back cover....can you take the back cover off by undoing these and then replace the battery...understand this would void the warrenty. My NW-A1000 now has about 2.5 battery life

sonictsage 4.0 has stopped playing most of my WMA files as says i require a license. However it let me play all this music for ages without a problem but then then suddenly stopped. Ive tried reinstalling ss but same thing happens again. I can play these files on my NW-A1000 though? any help?

Ive got a copy of all my music on my NW-a1000 and as a sonicstage directory (where all files are named wierdly such as A199b etc.) and Windows media player cant find the artist,album info. However i have lost the original copy of my music. I want to be able to use Windows media player. Is there a way to convert this ss directory to one that window media player could read with out manually adding tags to every song...which would take a very very long time. cheers for any help.

i've got sennheiser CX300 and think they much better than the ex71 and for what (if you look around) if the same price (i got for them for 19 quid). look good aswell.

I meant unsorted as in if i scan it using windows media player for example it doesnt recognise track names etc.

Am using sonicstage 4.0 (cp). Have made a libary in ss directory and all the files name are now 10239a etc. Have lost the original copy so the only copy of my music is in this "unsorted" sonicstage format. Windows Media player doesnt recognise any of this. Is there a way of converting this ss directory to a normal one?

Have a NW-a1000 using sonicstage cp (or v4.0). Sonicstage has always played my WMA, MP3 and atrac files fine untill few days ago. Suddenly it asks if i want to download the liscence for all my WMA songs? If i clcik yes or no, both ways it fails. I dont know why this is as it worked fine before. Thought never mind ill just use Windows Media Player (11) instead but all my music is in a random order thanks to sonicstage with all the files name 100348A or something so windows media player doesnt recognise the artist etc. Also various other probs of using media player (which plays the WMA files fine) such as i have some files in atrac. So 2 problems need fixing: 1. How do i get sonicstage cp to play my WMA files again? 2. Is there a program that will sort out my music files back to normal? (so i can actually use a non sony mp3 player in the future. any help is great

have exactly the same problem (with the front cover aswell). Was thinking about resorting to a drop of superglue to hold it down...
