Hi all - I plan on recording 2 shows by Mount Eerie on the upcoming UK tour. The shows are going to be solo, and likely acoustic - the artist is taper-friendly and the venue is small enough for me to get up close to the stage. The gigs are on the 23rd and 24th of May, so I need to get this gear pretty soon. Whilst I'd love great sound quality, I'm not looking for it to be absolutely pin-drop perfect, so I don't think I need really high end stuff - just standard live recording quality. I guess I would be willing to spend up to about £250 on equipment, but I would go slightly higher if needed. Also, I make experimental music, and I'm looking to do some field recordings so I'd ideally like a setup that would be suitable to use for this afterwards. I know the Minidisc is easy to choose (an MZ-M100 or NHF800, I guess? I use a Mac, so whichever has the best intergration) but the microphone is the thing that's really confuses me. What do you fine folk recommend? Many thanks! EDIT: Sorry if I should have put this inside the similar thread below, but I just thought that with it being a different music style I'm recording, and different budget, a new topic would have been best
