I've just got a used mds-s50 deck - my first minidisc player. I have made several recordings on it in the course of getting familiar with it, and all have a problem when it comes to playing them back. It starts playing ok, but gets to around a minute and half (this varies a bit between recordings) and just freezes. It sounds like it's trying to continue play but can't. If I skip on a couple of tracks (say 10 minutes into the recording), it starts playing perfectly to the end with no further problems. It just doesn't want to play anything between 1.5 odd minutes and 10 odd minutes into the disc. I've tried 3 different discs, including a new one, and the fault appears regardless. Being new to this format/unit, I'm wondering if there are any known issues - and simple cures. Thanks for any advice!
