  1. Hi all I'm hoping someone can help! I don't know if this is the right forum to post in, as I can't tell where the problem is, so I'm starting here with the software... I've recorded my own material, using a Sony ECM-MS907 mic, onto MD (MZ-RH910 Hi-MD Walkman). I've been using SonicStage to transfer the tracks onto my computer as ATRAC3 files. Then I started to burn CDs from those files, using SonicStage again. Initially I was using v 3.1, I've now upgraded to 3.4. What has happened (if you can bear with me) is... To begin with, the CDs burned fine at medium speed. I burned around 20 CDs, two different playlists, like that. Then they stopped burning at medium, so I went down to minimum speed. Again, about 20 CDs burned fine, with 3 more different playlists. Then the problems really started. On the next playlist, only about 4 CDs burned, then the last track or last few tracks failed to transfer (the error message was: 'Error writing to disc: track or tracks could not be transferred'). I kept trying with other playlists but eventually only 1 or 2 CDs would burn, or none at all, before writing failed. For each one I tried 2 or 3 times, to make sure it wasn't the quality of the CDs (which are decent quality Verbatim audio CDs, all the same batch as the ones that did work). In order to eliminate other possibilities, I tried using an external CD writer - same result. And I tried using other software to transfer WAV files to CD (Sonic and Nero 7), but the same thing happens. The problem seems to be in some way cumulative (i.e. the discs wrote fine at first, then gradually began to write less and less). My computer is a 5-month-old Dell Dimension 9150, running MS Windows XP Professional SP2, 1024 MB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, CD/DVD drive is HL-DT-ST DVD+-RW GWA4164B. Please, please help! I'm at my wits' end, as I really need to be able to burn these CDs for my work, and I don't know where to turn! Is this somehow a problem with the way SonicStage has transferred the tracks, or something else???
