  1. Hey guys and girls, My first post here... I have been reading reviews of MDs here on the site for some time now, but only just now decided to join up :S I have had MDs in the past but only just got back into them (thats why I found the old S707 in the celler)... I have just ordered the new HiMD MZ-RH1. I wanted to go with the RH10, but it is no longer on sale here in Denmark, so the RH1 it is. - I havnt received the unit yet, so it makes it hard to follow the instructions on here, but Ive written some info down to make it easier for me. I get the MD next week when Im on "concert tour", and Im going to record an interview the day after getting it and the concert the same night of the interview. Its been some years since Ive last done interviews and stuff, and since Im ordering all this stuff online, I hope your input can help me make the right choices. The mic Im going for is the SONY ECM-719. After reading for the last 4 hours on your site here, I think I got the right settings, but just want to run them by you to see if I have gotten everything right. The interview I know, but the live recording is...ehh something new. MIC: Set the mic to "music", sensitivity to "low". - The mic comes with a battery, so thats cool, right? It dosnt have to feed off the MD. Using Line-In. MD (using 1GB disc's): Use Hi-SP mode. Recording volume set to 18/30. Not gowing with AGC, but "manuel". Can I record in diff modes? I mean quality wise...? - If so, what should I go by? I know there is a lot more written on these pages, and Im all over them, but for now, the info above is what Im going with, unless some of you have anything to add/change. Hmm...after writing (and reading) this, it dosnt seem so hard (to do or remember), so you must think Im a nut Thanx... //CC
