Thanks for the reply inquisitor but synchro recording is already switched OFF. I can't seem to find anything else in the menu that might disable this.

Hi folks. Using MZ-NHF-800 how do I stop the recorder automatically starting a new track after silences of about 3 secs. It does it on line in recording but not on mic input recording. I understand the reason for it when recording say a CD but I use it for live location sound and want one continuous track not lots of tracks that I then have to join together in edit.
