I don't know if I have copy protection on them. But I was shocked last time I wanted to add a new CD and I plugged my Walkman in and it would not transfer. It thought I was using a new computer but it was just reformated. I had to rip all those CDs again and clean everything off the Walkman. I don't need to keep all the songs on my hardrive. Just whatever file that allows me to keep adding songs.

I have a second hard drive. So I use the back up tool and put the files there. Then after I reinstall Sonic Stage I ue the back up tool to reinstall the music files? I really don't need to keep it all. I just want to be able to add more to Walkman later. Is there a file that recognizes my computer ect? So its just one large back up file?

I am getting ready to reformat my hardrive. Last time I did that it I reinstalled Sonic Stage. Then it would not let me add new files to the Sony NW HD3 becuase it thought it was a new computer. Can I just use the back up tool? And then is there a way to install the back up later? Is it just one large file it creates? I have about 100 CDs recorded and really don't care to re-record them. Thanks!
