  1. from what I've seen here mz-rh1 is a very faulty unit... sony should update the firmware... too bad this might be the last MD unit available.
  2. have you noticed that the unit resets? I mean the clock is on 01/01/01 12:00AM
  3. damn, I don't think I did but I'm wondering if instead of changing the 0113 I changed the 0114 by accident. Is item 0114 supposed to be "00"? Thanks!
  4. Hi. I've had my MZ-RH1 unit for more than a year now. I have been experiencing some weird issue: Sometimes when the unit is off and I want to play anything the unit is "dead" doesn't matter if I insert a disc, if I open the lid, if I remove the battery and then put it back in... nothing. The only way to make it work is plugging it into the computer. Then after 5 seconds I can disconnect the cable and the unit works normally. I thought it was the battery but I have another one and tried switching them but nothing happened. Any ideas? thanks
  5. MZ-1 is a beautiful unit anyway, would like to have one... it had digital out??? I saw some pictures on ebay
  6. mmmmm.... battery life is VERY short for this model That's very uncool...
  7. Hi!... I bought the mz-rh1 about 2 weeks ago for $310 US dollars... that's the retail price here in Chile. Must say this unit is amazing, I've own different minidisc's over time but this one gets the main price!! 9.0 out of 10 The good: - Very fast reading discs - Noiseless when recording (microphone) - Operational noise is very decent - Nice sound (I prefer using it with normal flat equalization... miss the old megabass system) - Direct MP3 reading without changing format - Can upload old recordings!!! - Beatiful and lightweight design The bad: - Poor battery life and no adapter to use AA batteries - When connected to USB the unit starts to charge the battery automatically. That shortens battery life if the battery has been charged already. Just one question... I have the black unit and THERE IS NO DATA ABOUT WHERE THE UNIT IS MADE (not in the box, not in the unit itself, nor the manuals) Any clues? thanks!
