  3. Ok, this is my first thread round here, i'm not a MD user but my problem here is stricttly about software the thing is, I have a Sony Mp3 Player, and a few days ago, i had to erase all the songs from the memory later when i tried to import again files from SS 4, like i had the first time, i got some error in some files "The transfer is not Allowed", ok no big deal, shut down the program, start it again and all was fine, until every 10 or so files, it started gaving me that error, not on the same track just random. So, i decided to roll back to 3.4, well same thing on this. Making it short, i installed a LOT of SS's, until at SOME point my head was so messed up, that it asked my to do some kind of conversion from one SS version to another, the thing is, "he" said that it needed a internet connection, i just clicked yes... And THIS is where the problem start, next thing, i'm importing musics to my MP3 player, all was going sweet until i get the error, transfer not allowed, but, NOW a simples SS restart didn't solve it NOW it's f*kng impossible to transfer the file. So just in case I click with the right button in the file and try to convert it to ATRAC (plus or not, doesn't matter) and it gives me this nice little error: Cannot Convert the specified track. Possible Reasons may include: - The track (files) cannot be found. - SonicStage does not support the file format of the track - The Track is copyright protected So, first of all, if the track cannot be found, then it shouldn't be able to play it, SS does play it... Same thing for the second reason, if it does not support it how the hell is it able to play it? AND why does it encode other songs and not this one if a few weeks ago he (SS) was able to do it(there are several ones that i cannot convert, i'm just talking in singular) And for the third reason, I cliked with the right mouse button went to properties and get this Playback restrictions: None No. of times played: 0times No. of times transferred: 0times Remaining transfer count: Unlimited Remaining ATRAC CD transfer count: Unlimited Remaining audio CD transfer count: Unlimited so no copyrights for me.... I'm SOOO sorry for this long text but this is driving me nuts, i'm about to sell the mp3 just because of the piece of garbage that SonicStage is.... probably tomorrow i'll be installing windows again, just to "make sure" but if anyone finds a way... oh by the way, I installed Sound Forge Audio Studio 8, and got the ATRAC plug-in from ATRACLife website, and guess what... Audio Studio IS able to encode the file that SS isn't Tks to anyone who "wasted" time to read this...
