Hello, I am new to the forum. I have owned a Sony MDS-101 since it first came out. I used it to put many of my record albums on Minidisc. I am a professional orchestral musician and also used my MDS-101 to record my practice sessions. The way I would use it is I would record an excerpt for a minute or so and then immediately listen to it. I could use the remote and press REC and it would go into record/pause mode. Then I would push play and it would start recording. The thing I loved was that when I was done, I could push STOP and then PLAY and it would only play the track that I had just recorded! My MDS-101 finally stopped working after 12-13 years and I want to get the MZ-RH1 to upload all of my old minidiscs to PC, but I would also like to record my practice sessions as I did before. How does the MZ-RH1 work in regards to a live practice session of short excerpts as I described above? Any info would be greatly appreciated! dmwoodwinds
