Hi, I am trying to record some live mixes from my turntables onto my Sony MZ-R50. I checked out the online manual on this site, and I did get it record with the Mic input. I am going from a Stanton SMX-201 into my minidisc recorder. The first time I tried to record, it was almost completely silent the entire time. I was going through the regular output ports on the back of the mixer into the Mic port. No luck at all with that, not even mastering software could help me. So I tried recording out of the mixer's headphone port, and it sounded very tinny, harsh, and there was no bass. I'm not sure how to get a good recording, any suggestions? Thanks a ton.
