  1. Thanks for your replies. I still to need to know, does the minidisc player require a regulated adaptor or is a non-regulated adaptor fine? Regulated means, I think, that the voltage output is kept at a constant rate, no matter how much current the unit is drawing.
  2. Hi, Unfortunately I wasn't given the power adaptor when I bought my minidisc player second hand. Ordering in a new adaptor from Sony is expensive, so I need the specification for the adaptor to buy the right one (it might blow up if I plug in the wrong type!) I have worked out that my model, the MZ-N510 requires a 3V 500mA DC adaptor. Does anyone know if the adaptor is regulated or nonregulated, and what the polarity is? Would using a 1A adaptor break the minidisc player? Also, I would just like to confirm, is there any way of getting my recordings from the line-in or optical-in onto my computer via the USB? (This isn't a Hi-MD player.) Thanks.
