  1. Thanks for your thoughts, you made some valid points. peace...
  2. Well I bought it before hi-MD was around, and I originally never bought it for PC transfer. At the time it was simply for replacing cassette's for home recordings, so looking into the specs regarding USB wasn't an issue, it's only now that I would like to extend my horizons... Hi-MD Sounds great for those on-the-go, but what about home/professional users? it appears Sony have neglected the range, I searched for a newer MD deck, and the only one I found was mine which is a few years old... but I'm getting this now anyway: http://www.av-land.co.uk/yamaha/cdrhd1500/index.htm I don't see any point in getting even a portable MD player now, do you?
  3. I had a suspicion that would be the case...real time, waste of time. How about I just sell the unit on Ebay for 50p? With MP3 and HD, MD might aswell stand for 'My-Dick'. Or better still, I could convert it into millions of particles via my foot, send them to Sony, and tell them that I find a recording device with a USB port which is supposed to be supported by their 'software' a complete contradictary, then, connect my Technics 1200mk5's directly to my PC via my Pioneer mixer and digital leads as you rightly said, and record without any copyright-priority commercially orientated capitalist program, popping up and telling me my music I purchased lagitimately and recorded on their device, isn't 'appropriate' for their 26mb program, which took two days to install, and now only serves me as track renaming tool. I have a Sony PSP,PS2,TV,DVD Recorder, DVD player, DVD-RW drive, Monitor, Camera, and VHS recorder. All top notch. I think any copyright infringement I wasn't going to make anyway, would be more than compensated for my purchases over the years, and just about cover the 3.99 of me illegally downloading 'Kylie Minogue - I Should be so lucky if I can get this on to MD' dont you?. Phew...that's better.
  4. Hi, thanks for the quick response! I'm using an MDS-JE780, it's a hi-fi seperate - http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.act...MiniDisc+Player It's NetMD.
  5. Hello all, After finally finding a version of SonicStage that works for me (4.0), I have discovered that I am unable to transfer recordings made from my MDS-JE70 to my library anyway! Is this correct? The tracks appear in the device/media info section of the transfer screen, but when I attempt to transfer I get: "Unable to transfer the following tracks to My Library because they are recorded by Net MD or another computer." I take it they only want me to transfer mp3's downloaded from their site or a verifiable source? Basically, I transfered my vinyl onto MD and would like them on my PC - Is there some sort of hack or alternative software I can use to do this? Any advice would be appreciated... Glenn.
