  1. Hi guys, just did a quick ebay search and I can buy that alternative remote for about £25 UK including postage, which is a not too shabby price for the extra benefits I will get from it - so once again thanks, and Ibelieve the new RH1 will soon be coming my way! Simon
  2. I dont really like/use the group function so that does'nt worry me too much! Thsanks to all of you who replied Simon
  3. Great, thanks for the quick response, I will check out ebay, and look for waht you suggested. I assume its a 'better' remote than the supplied one in all other aspects as well then?, and obviously compatible with the new RH1 Hi-MD Cheers Simon
  4. Hi all I have been an MD user for some years, switched to the Digital 1Bit Sharp MD a year or so ago for my live recordings cos of its greater flexibility than my old Sony R50. However I am now going to buy the new Sony R1 Hi-md I think, to use in my future live recordings. My question is this, with my Sharp I can adjust the recording level from the supplied remote, as well as on the unit itself when recording - which is great, (I think I will be able to do this on the new Sony as well?)- but my biggest problem has always been this..... I want to be able to see the record level 'bars' displayed on the remote so that I dont have to keep digging in my pocket to get the MD unit out to check levels while doing 'stealth recordings'. If this is possible it will be great cos I can clip the remote to my shirt and if levels are too high while recording a show I can see the level on the backlit remote and then adjust the level down if reqd..... Is this facility is available on the Sony remote display, or any other compatible remote for that matter? its always been my biggest frustration, you can see/check almost everything esle on the remotes, but NOT the recording level bars WHILE recording! Any info appreciated Cheers Simon
