i did try that but it didn't work, then i found a something on here that told me to delete all the sony stuff from my hard drive and the registry and reinstall from fresh, worked a treat. now onto the licence problems.... anyways, thanks to the helpful folks on this forum i am slowly getting the problems ironed out.

it's no help, but i have exactly the same problem, although i think my database might have already been knackered before i installed SS CP - I was still running 2.3 which listed all of my albums and said there were no tracks on any of them!
