Man my experience with SS has just gone bad to worse. Now i cant even open SS3.4. It says cant find openMG Secure Module, exiting SonicStage. I will be the first person to commit suicide cos of SS. I shouldn have tried installing SS4.0 in the first place! Now lets get it straight. 1.First and foremost im no good in computers at all. 2.My com is running on XP. 3.My IE is ver 6.0.2900. 4.What else, oh Ive installed WMP11beta and i cant go back to 10. 5.SS cant install beyond openMG Limited Patch in online installer. 6.Full installer of SS3.4 cant read my MDs. 7.Now i cant open SS3.4 after installing. Cant find openMG. 8.@Avrin, in system32\Drivers, i can only manage to find NETMD031.sys, NETMD033.sys and NETMDUSB.sys. And my SS3.4 cant open after i deleted all these after i deleted the regedit things. 9.This is primarily my elder sister's com, so i cant do any reformat or reboot. Thats all i can think off. Im really pissed. Human nature. In the past i also had alot of problems with SS from 2.0, along the way there are ups and down. But this has hit a new low. Why can't Sony(this is gonna be cliche) just create a easy program with no hassles?

@pjm000 How do you "roll back" to WMP10? I installed WMP11 and cant delete it. Tried to install WMP10 but cant install due to new ver existing.

As to my other thread, "Unable to Install", i can only install the offline SS3.4 for now. There are 2 problems with this offline installer that is bugging me now. First is the lack of option to choose where i want the program to be installed and second most worrying problem is that it cant read my MD and said that it was not initialized by SS. So after initializing my disc in SS, it still cant read my disc! What is wrong with my SS? It was fine a few weeks ago till i tried to install SS4.0. Darn

Ok, IE is ver 6.0.2900. Ive updated my Windows and DirectX. Still no luck tho.

Ok, my WMP is ver.10, but how do i check the ver of my IE?

I post this awhile back at forum.minidisc, yet i got no replies. Please someone help me!? "Im a angry man now. Since the release of the SS4.0CP, i have downloaded the installer to install. Yet, while through the process, it just terminated. After that, i had to uninstall and going to regedit to delete all SS stuff. Then i tried installing again. Still no hope! I went on to install SS3.4[(online) i used online installer last time] and it came out with the same problem. So after more than alot of tries, i finally found out where it terminates during the process. Its always occurs when installing the Limited Patch, then it would show this message "Installation for SonicState 4.0 has been terminated. (2051, 20703)." I may think that the numbers at the end of the sentence is a hint as to what i should do to install but i cant think of it! Oh, i prefer to install using the online one as the offline installer doesnt give me an option to install where i want the file to be. Its like they always put in C:\Programe files\Sony. And also, now using the offline SS3.4, it cant read my disc no more, as in it said "Cannot use as audio disc as it is not initialised by SonicStage" or something like that. Darn im super fed up. What should i do!!? Can anybody englightment me, or at least give me anger management course?" Thanks alot.

No, i was converting from mp3 to mp3 again...except that im converting to higher bitrates.

Hey guys. Im from Singapore. This is my first ever post here. It will be a long one and i do hope that you people will not be annoyed and be able to help me out cos this is the only place wit many SS users. I currently own the PCDP D-NE900, for the past year. Using SS2.0 was a hassle, sometimes takin 2 hours to burn a Atrac CD. Till lately, my cpu was reformatted and i installed SS again. I tried to burn Atrac CDs again but there were many problems. The error messages that showed up were sumthin to do with remaining transfer count. Then i installed SS3.2. Thinkin that all my mp3 files has a hidden meter or sumthin, i used mediamonkey and convert new tracks out. This time the error was "SS does not support the file format..."(even tho its mp3.) Ive kinda seen you guys use sumthin call the Simple Burner..how does it work? Im totally pissed, is there anyway to rectify the problem? Im looking at the MZ-RH10 and the only thing tt set me back is my nitemare wit SS. Will my current problem show up if i try to transfer to the MD?
