  1. If you can let me know how to make them that would be great. I have an RH1 here that I can use to make the discs and I have plenty of MD's and Hi-MD's. Thanks again, Joe
  2. Thanks for the info sfbp... I took a look at the nh900 service manual and located the procedure. Where can I get the special disks that are mentioned?
  3. Thanks again for the replies... I thought I would provide an update I found the reset all in the service menu and reset the unit. Then I got EE Error when turning it on. So after much digging around on the internet, I stumbled upon this treasure... http://aoix.free.fr/...ompare_HiMD.txt This document contains default values for several Hi-MD units including the NH600D! Using this I have just about returned the unit to normal and all buttons are working as they were before I messed around with service mode. The remaining issue is with HI-MD discs not playing and I am working on that now. I will keep you posted. More Good News! After reading through the document linked above and matching MT, NV, and Design my NH600D is backing to normal working order and fully recovered! Lessons learned, I will be staying out of service mode especially on the RH1. I must say after listening to the NH600D I am very impressed with the SQ. I was a little worried about the lack of an HD Digital Amp like the RH1 has but I got to say this thing sounds amazing! Thanks again for your help. I hope maybe the document I linked above can help some other folks as well. I take no credit for it I just stumbled across it during my googling last night. Thanks, Joe
  4. Thanks so much for checking, it is appreciated... I have them back correctly now. I must have knocked another setting out of whack. The other strange thing is that when I turn the jog dial I can't press play to change the track it just pauses... I don't suppose there is a reset procedure or a document with all the appropriate settings? Thanks again for your help! Joe
  5. The full values are 1941, 1942, and 1943. From service mode press vol up twice to go to nv1 then press right until you hit 941 and the others. There is another post on this forum about it. The nh600d does not show the one. The player works fine with the exception of the menu button. This is the post I was referring to.
  6. Hi all. I have been a lurker on this forum for a long time and I am thankful for all the wonderful info provided by all! I am in need of some help and my searching the net did not turn up much... I just picked up a nice mz-nh600d to use to reduce wear on my rh1. I saw a post about adding the surround sound and speed options on another post here and now the menu button no longer works and to enter service mode I have to it play twice at the end of the button sequence. Has anyone run into this before or can anyone tell me the default value for 941, 942, and 943 in the service menu for a us mz-nh600d? Thanks for your help! Joe
