Well, I have been toying whith the device, and it seems, that there is a different error. I am able to record now via line-in and USB also. I had to take off the front houseing (the one with the LCD) and I bypassed the spring eject mechanism, this way, there is no spring force which would "push" the disc (with the cover) upwards. Therefor, I guees the problem is, that the houseing is dented (even if it is not visible) and the sping can move the disc further from the laser head than as it should be. So the problem is derived from a mechanical defect. I hope this theory will be proven to be true (I will test the unit now with lots and lots of recording) and I will keep you guys updated, just to enlarge the knowledge base of this forum
