I found an adapter for it. It's a 1/4" mono to 1/8" stereo mini plug adapter but i still have the same problem. Any ideas on what else might be wrong or how i can work around it?

Hi all, I record guitars and keyboards played through an amplifier. When i transfer the recording to my laptop and play it back, the recording completely pans to the left speaker. I'm not sure what the problem could be and would appreciate any help on this matter. My MD unit is a Sony MZ-NH900 and the microphone i use for recording is an Audio Technica ATR30 vocal/instrument microphone. It has a XLR to 1/4" I use a 1/8" mini-plug adapter to connect the microphone to the MD. I position the microphone directly in front of the amp approximately 70cm away. Thanks in advance, Poss
