  1. I tried to upgrade my laptop (primary PC) to vista the other day. After running through the compatibility check (took a VERY long time as I have a lot of stuff installed on this box), it said I needed to uninstall Sharepoint Services. The problem is, I can't find where I have sharepoint services installed. It doesn't show up in the Add/Remove Programs list, there's no mention of it in my start menu, and the stsadm command mentioned here doesn't exist on my system. The only mention I was able to find of Sharepoint services was under Office. It had Sharepoint Services Support installed. Uninstalling that didn't help, though. The other bizarre thing is the upgrade advisor said I was good to go. When I run setup from the DVD, it says I have to uninstall Sharepoint Services. Now guess what, this was not the only thing Next time when I boot my system it did not turn on. I Tried every possible thing but I guess I’ve lost my all data. Please tell me what I can do suggest a place where I can find the solution.
  2. This is the same blunder I did and you knows what… I almost lost my data. I was so tensed caz all data was lost (I thought ) But My friend suggested me a lab something called Salvage Recovery Lab or something similar to that. When I contacted I got my problem was solved. They solved the bug and got my 90% of the data back. I don’t know how but they managed to got it back. I was extremely happy that I got my maximum data. If you want you can call at 1 203-973-0242 get your problem solved. All the best.
  3. Vista Vista !!! I don’t know how many people are facing problems during upgrading there system with Vista. But I should not have upgraded my system with that. I’ve had my karma about 6 months, initially I had a few problems with it freezing etc but nothing major. Then last week it crashed and then froze on the rebuilding database screen when I turned it back on. I’ve finally got it on now but everything is gone. The thing is that it still says that there’s 12gb being used when I go to 'about rio karma'. Does anyone know of any way to salvage the music on there because following the recent death of my hard drive, all my music was on the rio (I never got around to putting it back on the pc). I’ve tried rio taxi and riorad explorer, both to no avail. If anyone has any ideas id really appreciate it, since there was some really rare tracks on there.
