  1. I've also come across this info -site which gives further information: http://club.myce.com/f58/why-buy-cd-r-audio-instead-cd-r-recording-music-175302/ I've also come across this site which has postings giving more information: http://club.myce.com/f58/why-buy-cd-r-audio-instead-cd-r-recording-music-175302/ cheers, Donald.
  2. In addition to having 3 MD decks and I'm not sure how many portable MD recorders, I also have in regular use, a Sony CD recorder (twin disc) the RCD-W3 and I would like to know if anyone out there in the forum has a method of formatting regular CDrs (data - so dirt cheap!) for use in this machine? It normally has to be supplied with "Audio CDrs" which are much more expensive. Or is there any way of "re-programming" the W3 recorder so that it can recognise regular CDs? After all, PCs and Macs can burn perfectly acceptable audio onto regular (cheap!) CDs which the Sony W3 can read and play, but when it comes to recording on the W3 it only likes blank Audio CDs. Thanks, in anticipation of a solution! Donald.
  3. Dear Ishiyoshi, Thankyou! I'll have a go. Cheers, Donald.
  4. I have recently procured via e-bay some second hand MDs. Most have been succesfully erased and put to use as fresh blank discs. About a dozen or so prompt the warning "track protected" when I try to perform any erasing of tracks or whole disc, even on the JE-780 (not via a pc). The write protect tabs are not the cause. Does anyone have a solution!
