  1. Hi, just a bit of a problem with my a3000. I think the problem is down to sonicstage 4.0 CP. I was using sonicstage 3.4 before and I could browse the music with all the arrows i.e. with the left and right arrows to navigate through the A-Z of artists or albums. Now there are only 2 selections for right and left. The options are as follows: etc. - gives a full list of all the things I transferred with sonicstage 3.4) A-Z - give a list of artists or albums that I transferred with 4.0. Not a massive problem but it just takes a while to navigate through the player due to this. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help.
  2. Don't know really, I have been using 3.2 for a while without any crashes, didn't see any need. But seeing as I probably can't transfer mp3's using 3.2, I'll upgrade. Thanks again.
  3. Hi, thanks for the answer to the 1st part of my question KJP. The second question was, whether sonicstage 3.2 supports the same "as is" feature as 3.4.
  4. Hi, I thought I was transferring MP3's, natively to my NW-A3000, but checking the files, it seems that they have all been converted to 64kbps AtracPlus. The things is that I just want my music in mp3. Is this possible with sonicstage 3.2 and if not, is it possible with 3.4? Thanks In Advance.
  5. Hi, I have been transferring music to my NW-A3000 without much hassle but I have discovered a few things when checking the setting of my Sonicstage. 1. I left the box that said "delete converted files from hard drive after converting" unchecked. Now I have 4GB of converted music that I don't really want, as I just want to leave my files as MP3's, would it be a problem to delete these OMG files or would it cause some sort of problem with sonicstage. 2. Does Sonicstage 3.2 support MP3 transfer or has it been automatically been transferring my music to 64Kbps atrac format (I just changed the default setting to 132 but it has been at 64 whilst transferring before now) Thanks in Advance for any help
  6. Thanks for the advice Rich and Beethovenian, I have tried both methods, but I don't really have room on my hard-drive for back-ups, I've only got a 40GB one and there's already 25GB of music on it. I gave both methods a shot and to be honest they both worked without problems, but they were a little time consuming. My PC just isn't up to doing this sort of stuff. Transcoding straight to sonicstage seems like the way to go, gapless playback is a nice bonus as I like listening to full albums on my player. Thanks for all the in depth advice and methods for transfer, I'm sure people with a better spec PC will find these really useful, for me, back to sonicstage .
  7. Hi, I just bought a black NW-A3000, 1st impressions are good. I've had a D-NE900 and an MZ-NH900 both of which I really enjoyed using. The thing that has always been a problem is of course the software. Sonicstage can be a pain at times but I've learnt to live with it (to my surprise 1500 songs and no crashes!), I haven't even installed the CONNECT that came with my NW-A3000 because from what I've been reading in these forums, it's awful I was just wondering whether there is an alternative to simple burner for the NW-A3000. I know I can rip the music to my library or use Windows Media Player to convert the music. But I would just like to import the music straight to the NW-A3000 so I can leave the player transferring, rather than letting it rip the music, then copying the music and going through the hassle of deleting the files. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in Advance
