I have been disapointed with the overall rejection of MD format and lack of good promotion. I have an old MD recorder but noticed very few places offered MD equipment and supplies. I used to purchase MD's from WalMart but I do not believe they stock them any more? I have been disapointed that they have improved with the release of HiMd yet there is no availability of HiMD tabletop units or car audio units? Why are these not promoted more? Certainly in my opinion and that of anyone who is educated in the advantages the MD HiMD format is superior to CD in most ways and has more potential and should be promoted more.

I am looking at the purchase of a HiMD portable. I assume the following if possible would be accomplished via Sonic Stage software. Is it possible? 1. Id HiMD LP 45hour mode comparable or better sound quality than CD? 2. Can Sonic Stage upload audio CD's faster than actual play time? Can any software? 3.. What is the quickest process for transfering a large library of CD's to HiMD?

Hello, I have visited this forum a few times and decided to sign up. I have an older model Portable MD recorder. I am interested however in purchasing a newer model with Hi MD. My wife does some DJ work and I suggested we use some MD technology to our benefit. I have not had any experience with computer downloading. Can anyone give me ideas of difficulty obtaining sources for Artist downloads? Any other info or suggestions as to my intended application would also be helpful.
