  1. Hey, sorry ive been off the forum for a while, thanks for the advice. The gig is tonight, i'll take everything you said into consideration!
  2. I plan to use my brilliant new RH1 to record a loud rock concert with a mic i bought on amazon (Technica Pro24) It's a simple process but are there anyone who can offer me advice about the record settings? For example should i record in Auto or Manual? -keeping in mind that the input sound levels will be higher than usual with loud thrashy guitars and lots of bass. And my location will be standing very near the front. Thanks!
  3. I'm a newbie to Hi-MD, just wondering if there are any Hi-MD seperates out there to add to my other hi fi equipment. This would surely be the best thing since sliced bread.
  4. I own one and i'm amazed by everything it's capable of. MD has come a long way, but what i don't get is why it hasn't taken off, especially here in the UK. I wonder if it's because of the price or because people just opt for the most popular and marketable product and buy an ipod?
  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone. Fortunatelly it hasn't happened since but if it does i feel i'm better informed about how to deal with it.
  6. i use the Sony 1GB Hi-MD discs. I don't remember seeing any error messages, but i'd have to see it happen again to be 100% positive about that, but i can tell you that the display was still lit up on the player
  7. I recently bought the Sony MZRH1 from amazon and i'ts the best move i've ever made, however theres one issue i'm slightly concerned about. When the MD player has been lying flat and played through my amp it has stopped playing half way through a track and you can hear the disc inside spinning and hesitating to start up again. I have to eject the disc and play it again. This has happened only twice and otherwise works flawlessly. The player is brand new and i have not dropped it. Is it normal for an MD player to occasionally play intermittently when at rest, or is this a real problem? Thanks
