I have to transfer MD to PC in real time with my model MZ-R700. I have done it successfully before, many times, but have just hit a new problem. I have just transferred a new 2 hour recording to Audacity on laptop PC. On the resulting PC file, the first hour is ok, but just over an hour into the recording, the result is odd. The sound comes and goes - from normal to silence to normal to silence, continuously through to end of file. The source MD recording is not like this, the whole 2 hours are ok right the way through. I thought maybe the PC could not handle recording an 'hour plus' file So I recorded the first half and closed the file, then started second half into a new file. But the second half transfer still has the same problem - normal to silence to normal to silence. This seems to eliminate the PC filesize as an issue, yet the source mini disc sounds perfectly ok. Anyone else seen this problem? thanks martin
