  1. So basically, I'd have to just pause it and remove the track markers manually? Or would putting it into manual record mode have it not add the markers? I just got the 55 the other day, and I'm still playing with it... So I'm not really willing to part with mine. But check eBay.
  2. Hello, first of all I am new here, having just found this place the other day. I have used a MiniDisc deck in the past for recording, and like the format a lot. Just recently I picked up a used Sony MZ-R55 on eBay. The intent of this is to record dialog for a movie I am working on. (Basically I have a couple mics running into a small mixer, the line out of which is going to the line in on the MZ-R55.) The unit seems to work fine, and overall I am impressed with it. However, I was hoping someone could help me with something. It seems that whenever the unit detects a large enough gap in the input level while recording it automatically starts a new track. I suppose this behavior was intended to make things like recording an album from say a record player easier. However, I would like to disable this, so that I don't hit the 254-track limit on the disc. I have not had much luck here searching the forums (if it is something that has already come up, please point me in the right direction). I even tried Google, and looked in the unit's manual on Sony's site, but with no luck. Any ideas? Thank you for any insight.
