  1. I HAVE FOUND IT/ the MZ-E90 works very well without the upper cover , there no circuits inside it and we can see the disc turning in play mode , it's interesting because we can see very well when the disc is relaunching: the loading of the sound every minutes ,, WELL , thanks for your information , i am now building the installation and mixing the sound , i will put some picture when the exhibition will be ready THX ian
  2. the best headphone you could find is for sure the HD- 25 by Sennheiser !!! up to 120 db !!! ok , quite big compared to the sonyxd 400 but what a SOUND so PURE... i enjoy it for two years now
  3. is someone a MiniDisc surgeon?
  4. that's right , during the instalation , the idea is that the players are playing deconstructing sounds with out any "skin" on it the md player need to work and play a disc in random option , the sound is on phones ( like for cd and DAT ),( and build-in speakers for reels , tape , minitape [really funny format , the smaller one °!°) , and turnetable with the numark portable !!! are you a dj in travel ? ---> http://www.thomann.de/fr/numark_pt01_tragb...ttenspieler.htm ) i am really interinsting about any feedback on this topic , yes but, the problem is that the display is on the front cover and should makes problems: well , i am looking on players have no display on the top and maybe should play in this state as: MZ e-90 MZ-E25 or this kind of , maybe older , one could play after a surgical operation is someone a surgeon? ThX °!° ian
  5. thX a lot for your quick answer °!° It's obvious that he is attempting to disassemble the upper (front) panel/cover of a MD player you'r right , maybe my english is quite poor but you "ishiyoshi" understand me , thanks , i have seen some good informations in the manual service , but there is not all the md's , i am bidding on a mz-e90 , seems near from the e-900 and looks easy to "throw away" the front panel concerning the budget , i am with a production for this exhibition so i have no limits (staying reasonable) , i think i'll try some of , but i prefer to find an old one like an E-35 or E-50 , the E-900 looks nice too and it's not easy , if you know a good (virtual or real) place to find a large choice of MD , don't be shy : you can told me so... ---Good luck with your project--- i need ---and do share with us pictures from your show.--- i will
  6. hi (md) , every one , i am preparing an artistic instalation for a show in france in june , and i am using every format of sound ( vinyl , reels, tapes , cd and --> MD <-- ) for the instalation i use every player of each format , and i open every cover and protection , i want that people see the mecanism of the player , it's quite easy with tapes and cd's but i am asking about minidisc , it's a very small mecanism and i don't know how to open the player ... and wich one is the easier to open ??? it's a very important request and , if someone know how to do , i am ready to take him in partnership on the project tHanX ian yannyan@hotmail.fr
