hi i actually found this info SONY PCLK-MN20 USB - Minidisc PC Link Kit It connects to a pc to a Home Deck though, i did read somewhere that it was suitable for my model, have you ever heard of this?

Hi I was wondering if there are any USB connectors for Sony MZ R-55 as i would like to transfer music from my computer to my MD player, i do have a digital connector which i currently use with my PS2 to do this but obviously this is slow and takes a few hours to recored the music in this way. i hope someone can help
