  1. Thank you very much - yes it really helps Caroline
  2. Hello Everyone, Sorry if these questions are answered elsewhere... I am recording interviews with two people at once. I have MZ-NH700 and two SONY mono electret microphones ECM-C10. First question, (for my purposes - analysing speech sounds) I need the sound wave to not be compressed at all or if it is as little as possible. Am I right that I need to record in PCM mode? I only have MDs to record onto not HI-MDs. Second question, after I have recorded the speakers I transrcibe the recordings. I sometimes have trouble with this as sometimes the people sound very similar! I was wondering if there was anyway of recording in two channels to make the task a bit easier? Thanks for your help... Best wishes, Caroline
  3. Thanks ever so much you have been really really helpful! Best wishes Caroline
  4. Fantastic - thanks for your help - it's really appreciated. Just to be clear (before I buy one!) do all Hi-MD allow MD to PC transfer? (I realise my old recordings will need the MZ-RH1 to do this) Thanks Caroline
  5. Hello Sorry if this is answered somewhere else on this forum - I had a look but couldn't see the answer anywhere. I am a researcher whose job involves making interviews with people. I have recorded interviews with my NET-MD player -Sony MZ-N10 which I would like to put on to computer. From what I understand from these forums it is impossible to do this. However, I understand that if I have an HiMD I can transfer FROM MD to PC. Is this correct? If so I will buy one. Also, if I do get a HiMD player will I then be able to put discs recorded on my original NET-MD player into it to transfer onto the computer? Thanks in advance for your help Best wishes Caroline
