um, i pointed it at a/b....but "g" seems to work ok. geez, feel like some kind of country bumpkin ;-) thanks. actually "f" wasn't available & it wouldn't work with either "a" or "b" drive letters . kind of threw me. sorry, i'm a complete newbie for this sort of technology. i'll try to do more research before trying to post again. thanks.

ss (4.3) *always* seems to default to drive F: for the ATRAC audio device (walkman nw-s205f). my w/s is setup w/drive F: pointing at my server so ss can only see the CD drives when i want to transfer files to the walkman. i tried simply changing the walkman's drive letter to A/B (who uses floppies these days) but no joy. i have to disconnect my network drive in order to xfer files. is there anyway to have ss point at another drive letter for the walkman? thanks.
