Analogue recording - multiple tracks

When making analog real-time recordings, the MD recorder doesn't know where to put in track marks like it does with digital real-time recordings, since there's no way for an analog signal to tell the unit to do that.

You either have to put your track marks in manually (slow) or have whatever media player you are using to space the tracks apart by 3 seconds of silence, which will cause the MD recorder to automatically make a track mark.

1 second is the required length of recognisable silence on Sharp recorders for track marking when analogue recording. Probably best to put 2 seconds silence in just to be sure if you're doing it that way. By the way Livia, make sure auto track mark is on (AUTO MARK shows and not MARK OFF) before recording. Hope that works...
