arodriel7
I want to buy MZ-NH1 or MZ-NH900 to record and also to play music connected to a home theater system (amplifier ONKYO and speakers Whaferdale of medium slightly high quality) 1. How they sound when connected to an amplifier to play in a stereo system? 2. Any problem with de digital amplifier of the minidisk? 3. Can I use the remote when the line out is connected to my amplifier? 4. Suggestions, tips, problems about playing connected to it? Thank you very much
Qwakrz
I have the NH1 a) It sounds fine when connected to my Technics amp I have no problems with the digital amp, however thats not to say you wont have any. I believe that if the amp you connect to is unterminated then you will have problems. c) No you cant use the remote while connected to an amp. Connecting the remote puts the unit into headphone output mode & you cannot select line out. Also on the NH1, all the functions are done from the remote so its a pain to use for line out (but not impossible) d) Nothing to add. Dont have any tips or problems. KJ_Palmer
Just to back up Qwakrz's comments really - I have the NH900, and connect it via "line out" to my Denon Amp/Mission speakers separates setup. It sounds fabulous, especially with PCM recordings, and Hi-SP sounds very good too. I expect Hi-LP might show its weakness through a half decent setup though... Qwakrz
Actually Hi-LP does not sound to bad through speakers, they are more forgiving than headphones. However saying that, if I am playing the music through my amp its usually while I am doing other things so I am not really listening to it.
