xowainx
Whilst moving house recently I manged to misplace the USB cable for my Sharp IMDR410 NetMD player and was trying to obtain a reasonably priced replacement. After doing some research, I discovered that it uses a "Mini-B" USB style connection. I found this website (I am from the UK) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/USB_Cables.html which sells Mini-B cables, but has two varieties - 4-pin and 5-pin. Does anyone know if either of these are correct for my minidisc player? Thanks!
aeriyn
It's gonna be a 5-pin Mini B cable. You can find them on eBay for around two dollars US. With shipping and all, ends up being about ten dollars, but that's a lot better than the twenty or thirty you'd pay for one at Best Buy or Circuit City. xowainx
Thank You! Yes, on that website it is about £10 ($18) with shipping, which is a lot more reasonable than the £42 ($76!!!) that it is from Sharp's official spare parts stockist. Thanks again, I have a long bus trip next week and if I get this in time I can make some new discs for the journey, which should make it more pleasurable!
