Raify Posted October 19, 2004 Report Share Posted October 19, 2004 Problem: CDDB doesn't work after I updated to SS 2.0. So the FAQ's say that if you have a vaio with pre-loaded sony software (which I have), you shouldn't follow the "un-install everything" instructions. Which I didn't So now that CDDB doesn't work, I'm suspecting I should un-install and load iced tea's build (where is this available btw?). What does everyone else think? jadeclaw Posted October 19, 2004 Report Share Posted October 19, 2004 You have to backup your Library first, using the SonicStage Backup Tool, before doing the uninstall/install and then you restore from that backup. Oh, and it is highly recommended, that you regularly backup your library to prevent data loss in case your Windows f**ks up like mine did this weekend.
