I've noticed that when recording with my JE330, the gain of the discs recorded is noticeably higher than those recorded with my now-defunct N505 (real-time mode). No, the increase in gain doesn't seem to negatively affect sound quality; it's a marginal increase, on the scale of 1-3 dB.
