Hmm, depends on what you want to invest.

Something like this?:

http://www.rolandus.com/products/subcatego...id=9&subcatid=0

Takes Analog and SP/DIF optical & coax.

Or Canton's Ergo series:

http://www.canton.de/www/index.php4?pg_id=12,12,,2,en

A pair of the Ergo 302 plus one Ergo AS2SC plus a decent amp for the 302s.

Avoid anything, that is sold in computerstores. Either visit your local HiFi dealer or a shop that caters for studio/musicians.

I've found in my experience that Bose is usually overpriced and not as good as something that generally costs less.

I don't know a lot about speakers (I'm a headphone girl lol) but I would suggest checking out those sites that Jade linked to.

You might also want to check Head-Fi; while it's predominately for headphone nerds, there's quite a few who also have loudspeaker setups for their source components as well as cans. http://www.head-fi.com
