LowEnd
Whenever I run a line into the "Line-In (opt)" input it seems to ignore the fact that I have the track marks set to 5 min intervals. It appears to set track marks based on when the audio starts and stops. I end up with tons of track marks. More specifically, we recorded some music on a friends new Roland digital recorder and I ran a line out of that into my MZ-NH1's Line-In (opt). Am I doing something wrong or is this intended for a purpose?
A440
Sounds like you have Sync recording enabled. Look under the Rec Settings menu, it's one of the last ones, and turn it off.
LowEnd
Great... I'll give that a try, thanks!
dmoog4
Did this work? I had the same exact problem (MZNH900)... and I did not have Synch mode enabled - at least it's "off" now and I don't recall ever changing it. Online Sony service told me to send it in for repair, though I didn't think to mention that I was using the optical input. Also, I would get track markers in the middle of music. Worse, when I recombined the tracks, there were repeated segments. Are there any other possibilities?
n0g0THEf0li0
See my post under User Manual Errors. I think it's a problem with all Sony products utilizing Line In recordings. It doesn't seem to be an issue on a source coming through the Mic In. -N-
