Stefan1
Does everything work properly under this format or do we lose atrac encoding, etc? I know that with minidiscs, there is no NetMD option when using Windows XP 64-bit. Anyone have experience on this?
Christopher
Welcome to the forums.I have Windows XP Professional x64 and I can use my MZ-NH900 in Hi-MD mode and my PSP just fine with Sonicstage. With this in mind, it is plausible to state that the devices you mentioned should work without any problems.
Stefan1
Interesting..! I have heard that it isn't possible! But that's very reassuring. Did you have to install it under any special circumstances? And yes I agree; if Hi-MD works, pretty much anything should work.
Christopher
Nope, all I had to do was install Sonicstage. I imagine the drivers for these devices were already included with Windows XP Professional x64, however.I still need to work on the drivers for NetMD.. Ishiyoshi
If Chris can get the PSP and HiMD to work under Windows XP 64-bit, it is highly plausible for the VAIO Pocket to work under 64-bit. I would be happy to conduct a test if I can get hold of a copy of Windows XP 64bit.

Interesting, I wonder if Sony included this as part of the hi-md push. I'll install x64 on the weekend. One last non-related question (sorry to be a bother), did you have to re-format any non-OS drives (ie; storage HDs) or is the NTFS file system unaltered.
