HiMD/SS trashing tracks

Hi All,

Dex asked that I start a discussion and get user input directly from the forum.

I'll need the following specs and a user(s) who have file transfer problems to do trial and error work if they are interested.

HiMD

1) Model

2) Recording method used for failed file transfers

3) Version of SS

4) Does it play on HiMD. Test tracks.

5) Does it play on SS. Test tracks.

6) Don't edit prior to transfer. Minimize possible areas of error.

7) Do you connect power adapter when transfering files.

8) Which compression level are you using during recordings.

PC

1) Which OS are you using.

2) Do you have a bare system to test with. Minimize possible software conflicts

3) What chipset do you have on MB

4) What sound card do you have.

5) USB 1.1 or 2.0, Onboard or add on card

6) AV, on or off

7) Firewall, on or off

8) Do you have a tangle of wire or wires bundled

9) Besides file transfers, do you have any other problems with SS.

10) What error messages if any do you get.

11) Does SS hang during transfer or stops completely

12) Do you have the progress window open

These are all the question I can think of but may have more in the future.
