Send feedback to Sony?

Question

Is there any place where we can send feedback or request features from Sony? I would really like to be able to press certain keys (like volume + -) on my NW-E507 when the player is in the hold state and have the time displayed. If it supported that, I may just stop wearing my watch :)

thanks mate.

yep, sony is listening to its customers.slowly things are changing..

Like any company, its direction is influenced by its customers-or its shareholders-but the bigger the company the slower the change in direction...speak up,make petitions and constructive critisism-you will be heard!(EVENTUALLY..)

Here are my suggestions for the NW-E40x/50x series:

-rearrange the main display, move the track counter to the last line (where the time and battery indicators are) and make the second line (displays the artist) scroll.

-I want a five band equalizer, but I don't know if it is even possible with the processing power on the player, volume normalization would be nice too. AVLS is rather useless.

-More accessories! Arm bands, lanyard type things etc.

-quicker fast forward, its just too slow even after twisting the thing for 10 seconds.

-have the screensaver kick in after a certain amount of time, just like the power save feature.

-ok this one is a bit hard to describe but I'll do my best. There is a bit of light "leakage" on the right edge of the OLED panel, it seems the light is being reflected within the piece of glass and escapes through the edges. I'd like it if the edges are masked off, covering all but the viewable area of the screen. Just aesthetics.

-have the amount of time remaining on the song displayed, somewhere, anywhere.

- The earbuds included with the player sound good (at least to me) but they are very, very uncomfortable. So much so that I had to remove the plastic surrounding the earpieces, now they feel okay, but just look halfassed because you can see bare metal around the edges. In short, just make em perfectly round, and maybe include some foam covers.

Thats about all that I can think of at the moment.

Wow.. that pretty much sums up everything id have to say too. I've been checking back every few days for a friggin armband. You'd think we'd have one by now. It's really crappy to produce this device without a way to keep it from flying off your person when excercising... I imagine that sony would be of the mind to suggest getting their sport mp3 player or some such ):

Good to hear about that light on the right hand side of the display.. I just figured mine had been dropped at some point or something.

My top wish would be compatibility with Mac OSX.

I'd at very least like to be able to add music to the NW series of players. I was very disappointed recently when I bought the NW-E507 and I couldn't even mount it as a USB drive, but other mp3 players worked fine this way. My old RIO even has itunes compatibility and mass storage drive compatibility with OSX. I use mp3's only for device compatibility. I finally got the NW-E507 to mount on OSX after backing up the device on windows and reformatting with fat32, but files were not recognized by the device. I always convert iTunes store purchases to mp3 for my Sony mp3 CD player, so I do not care about .aac at this time. Atrac is really out of the question since Connect does not even run on OSX and Linux.

I reluctantly took my NW-e507 back to the store. I hope when the 2GB NW-E6xx comes to the US I'll have my dream mp3 device (usb drive sized mp3 player that has a radio, display, more solid than the shuffle, long battery life and it's a Sony.

Sony, there are a lot of Mac users that are also loyal to Sony products, but you keep us from giving money that will help develop better Mac compatibility. If Sony made mp3 players compatible with iTunes there would be a another option for users. I can now play .ogg in iTunes through a quicktime plugin, couldn't this be done for atrac. I can access my Rio through iTunes using a Rio iTunes Plugin, couldn't this be done for Sony products. Obviously I can't use Sony Connect because I have a Mac, so give me another option or lose my business permanently.

Sony, change my mind before Christmas or I will buy an iPod or Zen. I'll gladly write a stellar review on Engadget/MacOBserver if your product could at minimum transfer my mp3's to the NW-E6xx using the Finder and actually be able to play them.

One other quick request. Check out MPIO's players they use folders for organization and as albums/playlists. A friend just brought this device over plugged into both my Mac and PC and iTunes just recognized it and so did the drag and drop. To Bad 512 is the largest capacity they have.
