Hey guys and girls. I know this has probably been posted before, so I'd like to apologise now for being one of those annoying people (I did do a search on the MD's version but couldnt see anything with my problem).

Basically I have the above MD. I have a problem with XP recognising it. It's very strange as I have installed the drivers for the MD, and everything you should but when I run Sonic stage, or Real player, or MD Simple burner, all of them say the device is not connected. So I check it's plugged in (even hear xp's lovely "ping" when it connects), so it is being seen or something, but just not recognised.

I look in my device manager and I see the NetMD in ther when it is plugged in, yet still none of the software's can see it.

I tried for 5 hours today, uninstalling, reinstalling, upgrading my bios, OS, USB drivers. You name it, I've checked EVERYTHING, and still cannot get it to work.

I've tried running all the softwares and disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting and reconnecting.

It doesnt have a low battery, and I've tried it in and out the cradle.

The lastest thing I am doing is taking the battery out for a couple of hours and then I will try again, but I wont hold my breath.

I have literally done everything.

I'm running WinXP Home, SP2

AMD Althon64 3000+

Nvidia Nforce 3 250gb chipset Platinium K8Neo Motherboard

512ddr PC3200 ram

CD-RW

DVD-ROM

2 Extra USB2 ports with the standard 4+2 one front USB ports (mobo located).

385watt PSU (high quality)

If anyone could help, I would be very grateful.

Once again I apologise if this issue has been addressed before.

Thanks again

-Cube
