kazuya
Hello all, I am new at this forum so how is everyone doing today? I wanted to ask a question about Sonic Stage! When I bought my Sony Vaio laptop in Japan it came with sonicstage 1.6 already installed! I decided to put an English version of windows on but wanted to keep sonicstage so i downloaded version 1.5 which i have had for a while. Recently i wanted to update to a newer version so i downloaded the install for 2.2! But it said that sonicstage cannot be installed on my computer with this windows language! I still have English windows and version 1.5 was English so... I then downloaded version 2.3 in Japanese and it installed fine. But I cant read enough Japanese to make it enjoyable to use! I would rather have it in English so was wondering if anybody knows why I couldnt install the English version and how I may be able to fix the Problem, if i can! Thanks very much  PS, I like this forum! Lots of cool info etc!!!
Christopher
Hello, I'm a little stressed today from work, but all in all I'm content. Anyway, welcome to the forum! Are you using a Japanese version of Windows?
kazuya
Wow, that was fast!!! Thanks for the welcome! I am using an English version of windows on a Japanese laptop. The sonicstage i had until earlier today was all in English. Couldn`t even read Japanese characters. None of the other programs I have have any problem but some things, like Nero, for example are always in Japanese! It isnt a huge problem but I would like to be able to appreciate some of the new features without spending hours with my dictionary! Thanks for any help
kazuya
Arrrggghhh! I sorted it out!!! I reinstalled version 1.5 then tried installing the new one and it worked! I guess its just an update rather than a whole install!!! However, I still wouldnt mine being able to read some of my japanese songs in japanese characters! Is there a language patch to make that possible? Thanks for any help!

Christopher
Go to your control panel, and then Regional and Language Options, then click on the languages tab, and then check "Install files for east asian languages" and press okay. My computer has all ability for Japanese and it works fine for other programs etc, but I am just assuming that Sonicstage in English doesnt support other lanuages! I thought that there might be a special patch for sonicstage that i could download but I havent found it so... Anyway, thanks very much for your help!
