batfastad
Hi I've just been looking at various hi-md equipment on this site. 1) Do the different models of hi-md portables all transfer at theoretically the same speed? Obviously it depends on the user's computer. 2) I was looking at the Sony MZ-NH1 Does the docking cradle have a separate power supply or does it charge through the USB? I don't want loads of wires all over the place. 3) The Sony MZ-NH1 has an internal battery. So do I have to cart that charging station around with me if I need to charge it? 4) Is the USB socket on the cradle or the unit of the Sony MZ-NH1 Thanks Ben
Day Dreamer
Don't know about one, two and four, but I can tell you that, yes, the mz nh1 requires you to have the charging station to charge it. If that's a big problem, get the 900. You can have an external dry battery with the 900. Mine just got here in the mail, but I can't have it until christmas. Damnit. Christopher
#1: Yes, AFAIK. You charge the NH1 via the cradle, and you use it in the USB sense via the unit. There is no USB attachment on the cradle, so you must take it out of such before hooking it up to the computer. Yes, it's retarded, but not that big of a hassle.
