christinecrook
Hi...have followed threads on the famous problems with sony net md sonic stage. Mine worked with my MZN 505 and 910 hardware perfectly until 2 days ago. Suddenly error message "An error has occured whilst converting the data" appeared in sonic stage 1.5, and in OPEN MG data downloaded to 9% and stopped. I noted that in a routine update KB840987 had been downloaded. I uninstalled this but still no joy, so I tried the patch from Sony ...KB887881...no results either! I have tried to roll back using system restore but now this will only allow me to go back to 2 days ago when I was unistalling and reinstalling both Sonic stage and Open MG (Tried one without the other also), so I cannot seem to go back to October when I knew for sure that both of these programmes worked perfectly....unless there is a way of doing this in safe mode ( I am not that technical) I spoke with Microsoft today as I said that the only trace of SP2 in my laptop was KB810243 (XP hotfix SP2) but there is no option to remove this and the guy at microsoft said this would not be causing a problem! I have not yet tried to upgrade to Sonic Stage Ver 2.1 as guessed this would not resolve the issues if it is not working with both previous software versions. I have since lost all my databases with all this messing about and to get this to work would be great especially as I use this for my work as a musician!!!!! IS there any other software that I can use to output mp3´s onto MD. I use ipod for personal use and this works great but no good for stage as too small to see in the dark!!!! anay help would be great! christine Crook
Christopher
Welcome to the forums. You must upgrade to Sonicstage 2.2 if you're in North America @ www.connect.com , 2.1 if you're in Europe @ www.connect-europe.com OR www.mora.jp if you're in Japan before we can continue. christinecrook
Hi Kurisu Am trying to upgrade but getting error message "Target application does not exist"...is this because I unistalled Sonicstage version 1.5? Do I need to reinstall this to upgrade in your opinion. Many thanks, and I await your instructions
Christopher
It usually doesn't require such. This tells me that things are corrupted, and you should follow the reinstall directions in the NetMD faq, found within this forum.
