emrish
Anyone know of a MD player with microphone input capabilities? I can't seem to find one anywhere. I found one MP3 player with both USB and mike input, but I really want to find a minidisc player with both things.
Christopher
Holy crap, there's a ton man. You need to make better use of minidisc.org's Equipment Browser and these forums! I'll get you started, but tell me, what's your maximum budget?
emrish
I'd like to go as cheap as possible. $200 would be my max.
Christopher
Do you want Hi-MD? Because that's really the best solution for microphone use and this format.
emrish
Sure. Actually, I don't really know what that means. I don't understand a word of the explanation on this website, and frankly my brain is too stretched to even try. You're the expert. I'm in your hands! Christopher
I understand, it can be a bit confusing. Here is a listing of most of the Minidisc models ever made: http://minidisc.org/equipment_browser.html Hi-MD is at the top. To get a decent functional recorder, you'll have to stretch that budget just a little bit. You can get a regular MD recorder [the units listed below Hi-MD in the link above] but the ability to upload your recordings to computer in an easy manner will be comprimised. If you get a Hi-MD unit, you can upload your recordings to computer fast and convert them to *.wav, which gives you the ability to do whatever you wish with the recording - burn to cd, manipulate in a relevant program, etc.
