Mark H
Has anyone worked out a way of transfering audio from Hi-MD to a Mac other than playing it through the computer and re-recording with wiretap? Thanks Mark Harris
ROMBUSTERS
You can! just drop the MP3 files to your MD/USB drive and hope the mac doesnt crash... oh wait you want to actually listen to them on the player hmm... Sony has not released a version of SS for the mac and probably wont unless MD gains mass acceptance. SS is integral to the transfer of music as it communicates directly with the device and provides the encrypt/decrypting necessary for the data to go from the computer to the MD. maybe if Real licenses Sonys HiMD tech, and they get it to run on mac it could work but untill then its probably impossible, unless using the way you described
Christopher
As ROM says, the only way at the moment is in realtime, either with an analog male to male cable - one end in the line out or headphone out on the computer to the line in or mic in on the unit or digitally through an optical out on the computer in question to the digital in on the unit.
