Hey all...

Been searching through this forum and have come across a plethora of SOnicstage issues, but never the one that I've been experiencing. All transfers to my NH1 are problem free save when I'm transferring at HiSP - which unfortunately - is the one I prefer to use unless I have to transfer on a legacy Atrac like LP2 or SP for a friend. The issue comes in usually when the program is simultaneously converting while its transferring to the MD, the program will crash and i'll lose all my data transferred up to that point. I restart and this time it can pick up the conversion a little later through the playlist. Sometimes I'll have to restart the program several times, and the only time it will work is once all the playlist has been converted - then it transfers just fine. Again, only problem is when its converting AND transferring, and this means sometimes it takes 2-4 restarts before my playlist is fully converted and then it can transfer the whole thing problem free...

Anyone else have this problem? Is it possible to convert entirely first, and THEN transfer? Looking through sonicstage I couldnt see an option to do that...

Here's my system:

XP w/ SP 2 (though SP2 was installed AFTER my mobo drivers, so its actually running at USB 1.1 NOT 2.0)

Athlon XP running @ 2.2 gigahertz

1.5 gigs of DDR runnin @ 390 mhz

a7n8x deluxe w/ onboard sound

Sonicstage 2.3 (this problem ALSO occured w/ 2.1 and 2.2)

Running kazaa-lite codec pack from a few months ago

* Problems persisted through multiple reinstallations of sonicstage, ensuring that all reboots were done at the appropriate time, and even used regcleaner between steps to ensure registry was problem free...

Any advice you guys have would be much appreciated -> I can still transfer at the end of the day, its just frustrating as hell sometimes... I should also say that *sometimes* it has converted and transferred everything simultaneously w/ no problems, but the crashes would happen I'd say on 70% of my attempts...

Thanks again, and great little resource here, I'm happy to join the community..smile.gif
